Combat Rules

The rules of the Sovereignty’s Shadow are reflective of the outfits principles that are based on Honor, Respect, and Valor.

Chat Regulations

When gathering a squad the chat is an open discussion, anybody and everybody can talk about whatever they want. When Entering the destination content the squad enters a Planning phase, when only the squad leaders can speak they will brief you on the battle plan. After briefing the squad returns to open discussion until target destination is reached, where the SL will order to land or hot drop. After reaching the target radio silence is maintained with the exception of spreading tactical data, any voice chat is used exclusively for tactical data exchange. When the base is secured the chat returns to open discussion to help pass time.

Squad Ranking

Regardless of actual outfit rank, the current squad leader is the absolute superior, his/her orders are to be followed when they are ordered and how they are ordered, If the orders cannot be fulfilled or have already been accomplished you are to notify the squad leader and await further orders. If you have a tactical suggestion it should be given via a /tell to the commander so it will not confuse the squad and undermine the squad leaders authority. Failure to follow procedure gives the squad leader the right to kick and replace your spot in the squad with another outfit member.

Macro Responses

There are several conditions that make a voice macro appropriate. The main is when meeting face to face with another outfit member a “Hail (VVH)” is appropriate, unless in the presence of an enemy threat, where as the threat should be dealt with then hail each other. If another person heals or repair you or your vehicle a “Thanks (VVT)” is appropriate. If you are to cause grief damage to another member a “Sorry (VVS)” is required, failure to apologize renders you open to retaliation (but not killing) from the injured party.
